Meet Shane Zozula

Chief Executive Officer, President

Having worked on the scientific side of IVF as an embryologist and laboratory manager for more than 20 years, Shane Zozula’s passion is helping people grow their families through advanced fertility treatment. At Les Petits Surrogacy, Shane works to engage committed surrogates to match with intended parents who cannot carry a child on their own. Alongside founder Rebecca Gallegos, he also works directly with surrogates and intended parents to ensure that their every need is met.

As chief executive officer, Shane manages all operational aspects of the business, working with vendors, negotiating contracts, and creating business strategies to optimally serve surrogates and intended parents. Relying on his deep experience working with fertility specialists, he also facilitates physician relationships to ensure successful partnerships between surrogates and intended parents.

Shane is a longstanding leader in the IVF community, focused on supporting fertility advocacy initiatives and increasing access to infertility care. He is well-known in the field of fertility care for his extensive research, primarily focused on applied aspects of embryo culture, vitrification systems and testicular biopsy processing.

As a lead author, he has published and presented multiple research abstracts at international national scientific conferences. In 2012, he was honored as the recipient of the College of Reproductive Biology (CRB) research award. He has co-authored five peer-reviewed papers and 48 additional abstracts, with several nominated for research award consideration. He has also led and tutored several courses at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s annual Scientific Congress and Expo.

He is currently on the membership committee for the Society of Reproductive Biologists and Technologists (SRBT) and past president of the Southern California Assisted Reproductive Biologists (SCARB), for which he previously served as treasurer and board member. He has served as the legislative committee chair for the board of directors of the American Association of Bioanalysts/College of Reproductive Biology (ABB/CRB), and on the SRBT board as membership committee chair, president, member-at-large and nomination committee member.
